Reproduction Front Fenders 70 Cutlass

Has anyone installed the reproduction 70-72 Cutlass front fenders?. I repaired my 70 fender years 20 years ago with patch panels, that at the time were the best available, but are not really correct. I would like to redo my factory 70 fenders, I am thinking about buying the repo fenders and cutting off the bottoms for patch panels. Or just installing them (It is difficult to find rust free or workable original 70 fenders). Are the repo. Fenders any good, are they correct (less the raised ribs for 71-72) thanks

The left one fit great. I hear people claiming the right one has the braces welded in wrong spot so the vertical firewall mounting point needs a ton of shims. Mine was fine there. Only issue was the fender seemed to be too tall vertically in the back so when it was all tightened down to the correct spots and shimmed, it bowed out by the wheelwell. Body shop eventually just cut off the bottom as if you were doing a patch, cut out 1/8" and then butt welded back together.

If your going to spend all that money on fenders I would use them. The patch panels they sell now are pretty good if you just want to patch your fenders you have.
