Question on cutlass doors

Howdy.
lookin at buying some doors for my cutlass. I’ve heard that the hardtop and convertible doors are different on the 70-72, but how can you tell the difference between them.

Hardtop and convertible door shells are exactly the same within a given model year. You heard wrong. The only difference is that convertible doors have wedge plates on the rear jamb that slide against mating plates on the B-pillar to preclude body sag. Hardtop doors have the screw holes for these plates pre-drilled. You just need to transfer the plates from old to new door shells.
