I'm surprised that Hagerty will insure the car if it is not in a secure building like a garage. I'm pretty sure that is required, or it least it was when I signed up with them years ago.

It wouldn’t effect the value no more than those non original stripes you put on the hood and trunk

Step 2 complete...the insurance adjuster came to take pictures of the damage and should have an estimate done Monday or Tuesday.

They are seriously going to cover that? That is not something that happened over night or due to the storm.

And, hate to say it but ... once you're sure of a dry environment for your car and you have the metalwork done on the roof, it make well be more expedient to replace the vinyl than to refinish the roof.

It's tough in the PNW to keep moisture out of your car. I only have a carport in the Tacoma area and I get enough moisture in the trunk to get standing water in the grooves of the trunk floor. Damp Rid helps, but I still need to periodically sop up the water.

30 years ago the stripes increased the value on a 20 year old Cutlass Supreme. Like customizing a Chevy Lumina today. I had my car appraised at about the same time and the stripes added a considerable amount to the value. Not so much now.
