I would like to know how to remove trim chrome from side glass coz I would like to put new vinyl on the roof. I already removed the ones on the front and back glass.is it the same method for side chrome trim with the clips?

On my '70 Supreme I used a "church key" aka a bottle opener, not sure how your trim is attached
Tape the end that touches the trim then just catch the underside of the trim at one end. Pull out and up at the same time and it should start to release, then work your way around. On my Cutlass the lower trim is attached to the door with screws but that shouldn't have to be removed for the vinyl top repair. There's several videos on YouTube.
It's a tricky unnerving process.
