Door hinge pins
Door hinge pins
I just received a full door hinge kit from Tamraz, and I'm wondering how to create the door pin stop similar to factory...looks like a special tool was used...any ideas?
See photo, holds pin in place.

It looks like a C-clip? Could you mark the pin and then score a groove into pin for the clip. If it only holds the pin in position, there is no stress on the clip. You could also drill the pin and use a cotter pin.

Thanks for the response, It looks like some sort of factory tool was used to press in the stops. The Tamraz hinge kit has serations at the head which required me to pound it in...i'm guessing this will hold and seems to work fine, if i have any issues i'll try your cotterpin idea.
I pounded mine in straight and carefully on concrete, with a stout socket underneath the pin bottom. Pounding is okay of you do it right. The serrations will hold it.
See? Turn the mic on and the word gets out!
