Convertible door alignment wedges question

Hi all,

Working on 72 442 Convt .. car is back from paint and I want to install the door alignment wedges. There is one brass and one metal ... but I do not remember which goes on the door and which goes on the car .. or if there is a left/right .. up or down. Any pics/tips would be appreciated.

The brass piece mounts on the quarter panel side, the silver piece mounts on the door. Some cars had a shim behind the brass piece to bring the two closer together.
