Cant Believe I Cant Figure This Out - Quater Window Install

I'm installing my new quarter windows in a 72 vert. How do you get the arm with the roller on the end into the 3 inch track after you have the window started on the guide track (the up and down one with the three rollers on the window)? I can do the reverse - get the roller arm in the track, but then I cant get the window started on the guide. Help!!

If you have the 72 Fisher Body Manual - see pages 7-7 to 7-10

I found the easiest way to do this was to loosen the main guide track from the body, start the window on the track, slide the roller into place and then bolt the track back into place. There are 2 bolts at the top and 1 at the bottom. Remove the bottom bolt and then just loosen, almost all the way, the top bolts and this will allow the track to move around quite a bit. Also, before you go about this, you may want to unbolt that guide track and remove it from the car so you can clean it up to remove any old dried out grease on it. Same with the little slide arm the roller goes into. Put new grease on these parts and then go about putting it all back together. You're that far along so new grease goes a long way. Oh, make sure your outer windwo fuzzie is installed before you install the glass.

BTW: Saw your ad where you need the access cover. You placed it in the Parts For Sale section in error so you might want to move it to Parts Wanted.

Good luck.
