Thought I would up date this as I do have a few flaws
Left lower quarter patch turned out great after chrome trim installed
Right quarter patch has a few issues that could have been prevented if I was looking at it first of all
Lip area turned out great and this, I checked a few times threw the repair. I never even thought of the rear lower trim. the way I seamed the patch it created a bow shape from the lower heal of the fender.
If I was to do it over, I would have done a full lower section like I did the left side.

See how I made the seams on the inside. I should have done 1 part for the lower section there, was alittle of the fender bow and by crimping to lap glue I think it bowed in even more

Can't you technically sink that in unsing a stud plate ? You can get some flat thin steel and weld a stud to it slide it where you trim clips would go then drill through the quarter carefully then tighten it and and it tightens I will pull in if that makes sense . I have done this with newer style trim and trim on mid 70's gm b body's (dads car) . Yes I also have had to drill through filler it sucks and it can be screwed up but a light hand and patience will prevent you from ruining any work .

Copper, I think I understand . the trim is pot metal and there is a stud right in the middle of that bow, I think if I can get the speed nut started I should be able to suck it in a little bit. I have even thought about fixing it as I do have a little bit of paint left over
But the bug has it I just want to drive it lol
