Maybe somebody else with a Colonnade-era car can help me out here.

The short version: the hood rode high when shut so I removed a couple of shims from the latch mechanism. The hood now shuts correctly . . . but only on about the third try. Sometimes it still shuts riding high, sometimes it just pops back up all the way "off the latch". Yes, the hinges and the latch are liberally lubed.

Suggestions?
