72 Supreme Convertible cowl windshield channel repair

Newbie pulling body off frame, and addressing all rust on my 72 Supreme Convertible I have owned since 1982.
Removed my windshield to address upper windshield brace bubbling.
Good news is windshield came out in 1 piece, bad news is it came out easily because bottom cowl windshield channel under the stainless trim has completely disappeared!😕😫
1. Has anyone got any pics of what the lower windshield channel SHOULD look like if it isnt rotted away? Seems like that lower stainless trim is a real rust catcher…
2. There seem to be 2 patch repair panels available, I have ordered those. The metal piece on the dash between the padded dash and the cowl grill area, is that reproduced or do I have to find a used one? See pic, red arrow.
Thanks folks, Happy Holidays, and thanks for your help!

Hey flame??? That looks so familiar did it to my 72 convert along with a pillars and almost the whole cowl area I dont think they make a new dash peice from the pad outward..but the windsheild peice will cover that up I measured mine ,cut it and fit it about 100 times!! Cant remember if the cowl peice goes under or over the windsheild channel I will send some pics ...remember must be extremely flat or windsheild can crack or leak..good luck..crankit

Iam pretty sure the top cowl peice was from opgi...the windshield peice I dont recall but at the time they didnt make one for 72...so I think it's a chevelle ...little trimming and the bow is right fit pretty good..I wanna say they make one for cutlass now someone on here will know..it only covers so much of the dash I had to weld in a strip 2 inch wide strip to accont for the rotten dash just under the vin tag... crankit

I think that is the one sounds familiar...just go slow ...measure measure measure...use witness mark so it goes back exactly each time you trim and dont weld in fully until the very very end and weld or tig slowly to prevent warpage...clecos...work great for this application...good luck...any problems shoot a text might be able to give some insight....crankit..

Try the partsplaceinc went with them and all the parts were very good for one of my W-31 restorations
You will need both pieces and a very experience body man
