69 Cutlass S Metal

This past weekend we sat the body back down on the 69 cutlass. With this the next steps are body metal work. first we are not making this machine a trailer queen but more of a nice looking hotrod on the street.

In evaluating here are the area's of concern:

1. Lower windshield area. Is there anywhere that has the preformed metal panels for the lower windsheld area?3

2. Along the roof side of the drip rail. I have some rust holes. Looking for options here. Thought of replacing the roof skin which might solve this issue as well ast some holes in the middle of the roof.

3. Around the bottom sides of the rear window. I know this is just piecing in metal.

4. The seal rail around the trunk area. Are their panels that are prefabed?

Also like everyone else just looking for the cheepest but best option. If there is a company out their that has these sections would save me alot of time.

I am parting out a 1969 cutlass that has a good roof for you as well as other pieces.
Give me a call for more info if you'd like. I am in indianapolis.
Thanks

The lower windshield area, or cowl, is available. The entire cowl section is available for the 68-69 Cutlass and are available for around $360 dollars through thepartsplaceinc.com or OPGI.com (there may be other sources). Some on this board have had success with a chevelle piece which is just the strip directly below the windshield. Search cowl on this board for more information. I'm doing mine in the near future and have opted to go with the entire cowl section.

The section that typically is rusted the worst usually extends well up into the dash area. As far as I know that is not reproduced for the Olds & I believe it is not the same as the Chevelle. I fabricated pieces and welded them in. It required stripping the dash completely to do it right. The replacement cowl is a piece that is mostly hidden and the rust repair I had to do to that area was minimal.
