69 Cutlass door glass adjustments

Any simple guidance for adjusting the felt covered pads(rub strips) that help control the front door glass? No problem with up and down limit adjustments, but I can't find (may not be looking in the right place) for these rub strip adjustments. If too loose, window flops in or out. If too tight, might scratch glass.

Steve,

The adjustments for these guides are made on the top of the inner door with the door panel removed. The one closest to the rear of the door is under a bracket that is used to hold the door panel. Remove the nut and bracket and you will see the bolt head for the guide. The one toward the front is there on top. I've attached a few photos for your use.

Thanks for the reply. What I am trying to figure out is how I should adjust these.... ie tight on the glass when the glass is fully up -or- tight when the glass is fully down.

Cant find that guidance.

From the pictures, looks like yours are adjusted against the glass when it is fully down.

I can't say I know what the procedure is but I adjusted mine with the glass up. I rolled the window up, closed the door so the glass was sealed to the body weatherstripping. I went inside the car with the door still closed and I adjusted the guide so it just touched the glass. The window fuzzies on the exterior and on the interior door panel will do a lot to guide the glass too. Hope this helps.
