1969 - 72 hood into a 68

can you change the hood on a 68 to a 69 - 72? or do you have to change the whole front clip to make the change?

Do a search. The question just came up a couple weeks ago:

To answer your questions exactly, it can be made to fit. To make it fit right you'd have to change the core support and the whole front end. Anyway a 69-72 hood doesn't line up with anything on the nose of the 68 anyway and would look like crap. I don't think you could even graft a 70-72 onto a 68-69 body because the fenders don't line up with the doors between those years

You can keep the 68 front fenders, but as noted, everything else needs to change. Simply looking at pictures of a 68 and a 69 on Google Images should be enough to answer this question. Note how the leading edge of the hood, grille, headlight placement, and bumper are COMPLETELY different.
