Re Do W 30 Side Stripes?

I just had my 70 442 painted and had the side stripes painted on using thin line tape. The guy used base coat on the platinum silver and base coat black for the stripes, then clearcoated my car. Problem is, the stripes are in the wrong position. Is there a way to remove the stripes and re do them without having to redo the whole car? Any advice would be more than appreciated!

I don't think so because you would end up sanding right through the silver trying to get the black off. I told the painter I had to approve the stripe layout after they taped but before they painted it. That helped, probably the only decent part of the job they did. I feel your pain. Post a picture so we can give our opinion whether its worth it or not. Believe me most W30 stripes are wrong, most people don't know.
