1965 442 Vent Window. Is there a way to tighten the latch ? One of mine is kind of loose so the window has wind noise as it doesn't hold the window tight when closed. Not looking to shim it, would like to have it tight to operate normally.

Are you sure the rubber weatherstrip is in good shape? If so, the tension in the latch is provided by a wave washer. If the washer flattens out over time, it needs to be replaced. Pretty much all the repro houses sell this kit.

 

Thanks Joe. The weather strips were replaced like 2 years ago. The latch has the wave washer, but the latch is simply loose. I'll check out the new ones, thanks!
