use barrel clips on fender emblems?

Hey All,

So i just got a BEAUTIFUL set of NOS 4-4-2 emblems for 29 bucks on ebay.

I KNOW.

I dont feel like taking my fenders off and bolting on the new emblems. is it possible to buy barrel clips (like they do on the trunk) that i can just drill the holes and press them in??

Thanks!

-Tony

I've actually done this. You need to be sure the barrel nuts fit the posts on the emblems correctly, and you may need to slightly enlarge the holes in the fender to accommodate the thickness of the barrel nuts.

Most auto paint stores sell trim clips, including barrel nuts. You can also try the online clip vendors like Restoration Specialties.
