Are you looking for the stainless steel that clips over the drip rail?

Are yours damaged or too badly rusted? I've seen the roof skin rusted due to a bad vinyl top, but never come across a bad drip rail. I'm not aware of anybody repop'ing them, you may have to go with used. John

Yes. Fusicks sells them since about 2 years ago. They are the stainless steel ones you are looking for. Mine are OEM, but I'd bet these are pretty darn close. Here's the link, go to page 17. http://www.fusick.com/catfile/Catalo...Layout%201.pdf DRM702 Drip Rail Moldings 1970-72 Cutlass ‘S’-442 coupe 169.00 set

John, they shouldn't ever rust because they're stainless. Even a weathered set of OEMs would polish up nice. Good part about the dents and dings on these is they can be straightened, sanded and polished back up to new condition. ^^^ just FYI about the repops at Fusicks. They make them for 66-72 now. The long pieces can be bought separately so they say.

re: bad vinyl roof? No such thing my friend. Vinyl's never bad, it just gets worn out from lack of storage or proper mtce

I may be confused, I didn't think it was the stainless steel that he needed.

So what are you looking for? Is it the metal that attaches to the A pillar and roof skin to form the channel?

May look nice, but not functional. I remember when Dad bought the 73 Chevelle 'colonnade' wagon. No roof drip moldings. It is not a good design for getting in/out of a car in the rain. Chevy did offer screw on pillar moldings that would catch the rain and channel it to the A and B pillars. Probably the same parts for Olds, Buick and Pontiac.

Well after all the bodywork is done and the car is painted it wont ever see rain again anyway... I don't know how hard it would be to do and make look right though.

I don't think those are reproduced for Olds. If you can get the A pillar ones for Chevelle, they should be the same. But for the Cutlass S, you will probably have to get one of the parts guys here to cut that off a donor car and send it to you. At least now we have a clearer understanding of what you need. Maybe John (2blu442) is monitoring this and can get back to you. Good luck with your search.
