what is everyone using for seam sealer these days a 3m product?

alomst got my underside ready to go I have to do the wheelhouse area along with the rocker to trunk area... any other areas i need to address?

I really want to por the wells where the inner and outers meet but will seam sealer adhere to it?

also going to put bedliner in the wells after everything is said and done

yea bedliner , you know that plastic thing you put over your mattress , so when you wet the bed you dont ruin the mattress

wait, i just got it, pickup truck bedliner in a can. ive been wondering what to put in my doors and quarterpanels, por, epoxy primer, bedliner, hmmm

Ranzan, there are a few companies who make seam sealer products and 3M is one of the leaders. There are also different types of seam sealer products. Some are applied with a caulk gun or specialized (read that as expensive) type gun and some are brushable. Some are water based and some are two part urethane style sealers. Some will require them to be installed on top of primer and others can stick to bare metal. My suggestion is to finish your metal work and primer everything with a good coat of epoxy primer. Let that dry and then apply which ever seam sealer you want to use and let that fully cure. For good measure, you can scuff the area and apply epoxy primer over everything again and finish it as you wish. If you can get to both sides of the seam, I would do the same thing to both sides.
