Passenger Side Mirror RemovalQuestion
Passenger Side Mirror RemovalQuestion
Restoring my 1980 442. The passenger mirror has a cable and is remote with a toggle switch hooked to the front of the dash. I'm afraid of pulling out and not being able to feed it back through the dash.
Any suggestions would be great. Thanks for anyones time.

How far are you tearing it down, and how long do you anticipate the car being apart?
Attach a fairly stiff wire to the ****, then as you pull the mirror cable out thru the door jamb the wire will follow it. Reattach it when you're ready to pull the mirror cable back thru. It should follow the wire as you pull.
Don't be surprised if the mirror cable is routed thru several clips behind the dash. You'll need to pry those open a bit to get the cable out.
