The body manual [Fisher Body] ?
Most folks just start unboltin' stuff and movin' stuff out of the way until joy is achieved.
Bumper off would help. Rusty bolts thru plastic liner can be a problem.
Hood off first of course.

Ha, Chris you're a riot.
I'm going to suggest that you've already removed the front wheel assembly and have the car supported on jack stands. Removing the bumper isn't necessary. Also, each time you take something apart, stop and label the parts in a small baggie. Doesn't hurt to take a picture too in case you forget what you've done when it's time to re install the fender.
1. Remove the hood by undoing the 3 bolts that hold it to the hood spring on each side. You'll need help for this because it's a big heavy piece.
2. Remove the hood to cowl brace.
3. Undo the bolts that hold the front of the fender to the header panel (I think there are about 5 of them). On 72 cars the header is metal instead of fibreglass. If there are any shims, note how many and where they came from. Taping them together and labelling is a good idea before bagging them. The front bolts also secure to the radiator support.
4. Remove the door jamb bolt
5. Remove the upper cowl bolt
6. Remove all inner liner bolts to the fender.
7. Remove lower cowl to fender brace
I think that's it. There isn't anything in the Fisher body manual that shows anything for the front end parts.

Front end sheetmetal is covered in the Chassis Manual.
My best advice? Get a few cans of PB Blaster and soak all those old fasteners good before even attempting to take any of it loose. Even then the bolts underneath the trailing edge are probably gonna strip out or break unless the car has been in the desert all its life. Then you gotta worry bout a gila monster dropping out at your feet...
