Help! Anyone knows how to remove side mirror on driver fender?
Hello,
I have a 1964 Oldsmobile Ninety Eight sedan. I am trying to remove the driver side front fender as I will repaint the engine bay and then the entire car. There is a side mirror that has a set of 3 cables that go all the way into the dash and you can control the mirror from inside the car.
Does nayone know how I can disconnect this mirror from the front fender and the cables that go through the firewall and ultimately into a little control lever in the dash?
Any help would be greatelly appreciated

as a general rule on remote controlled mirrors, you must remove the mirror with the cables attached to it, that means taking the control loose from the dash and pulling it and the cable assembly ever so gently through the firewall and then remove the mirror from the fender with the cables attached to it.
