Flush door handles

I'm thinking about getting rid of the door handles that have the push button entry, in favor of a more modern flush pull type. I have a bit of arthritis in my thumb and I often need to use two thumbs to get the stiff pressure to release. I saw the Kindigit on online, but at almost $600 its pricey. Anybody else go with a flush pull style handle that was OEM out of j/y? Love to hear or see what worked well.

The problem with a pull handle style is that you would also need to change the internal latch mechanism to match. Before radical surgery on the car, you might want to try a good cleaning and lubrication of your current latch mechanisms. You'll be amazed at how much more easily they operate after that.

I used Kendig's handles on a different car I was building. They are very well made and worked well on the car, though it was a modern car, and I had to change the direction of the "push" part of the inside of the handle. On a car with old fashioned "push" buttons, putting the handle in the correct position on the door will simplify installation. It does take a bit of automotive surgery to put them in, though. AND you can find them cheaper on other street rod sites. I think I got mine from Chev's of the 40's, or Street Rod Garage. 350 IIRC.
