Is this Crest Blue?

I'm trying to find a sample of Crest Blue, the original color of my '50 Olds 88, and I came across this picture. Can anyone tell me for sure whether or not the body color on the car--not the top or the visor--is Crest Blue as found on 1950 cars? Thank you, Evans

I agree - but it's "SERGE blue" tpcglobal is sometimes hard to read. I've added scans of 60yr old Sherwin-Williams color samples.

Doesn't seem to match

I'll be the first to admit that my color vision is not 100% (it runs in the family), but when I look at those color samples up against the car, the samples seem much darker than the paint on the car, both top and bottom. Is it just me? Evans

Hey Evans, I guess the paint on the car just appears to be brighter because of the sun.
When you look at the areas, where the sun isn't directly shining on, the colors look very similar to the samples!

Thanks, Dancutlass. You make a good point. BTW, I majored in a foreign language in college and I just can't believe your English is so good. How did you come up to speed so fast without living in an English-speaking country for many years? It's incredible. Evans

Thank you very much! Even though writing is always easier than speaking
Actually I've had English in school for almost 9 years and it was one of two intensive courses I had to choose for the 12th and 13th grade! ( Our school system has changed significantly since my graduation). The other one was economics and law. Retrospectively, both haven't been the best choice in prepation for my subject of study, which has more to do with maths and physics and mechanics....
This forum helps alot in learning your language, as well as watching movies in English
The other language I've leraned for four years was French, but I just remember fragments^^ I just didn't like the pronunciation

What was your language of choice?

PS: sorry for the long read^^
