72 Supreme quarter window rear seals

Maybe yet another unobtanium?

Trying to replace all the dead rubber parts and noted that the seals along the *rear* of the quarter window aren't documented anywhere, specifically looking for a '72 Supreme and I'm not talking about the window fuzzies. These are the seals that attach to the body and seal the rear vertical edge - between the fuzzies and the roof rail.

The inner seal looks like it might be the same as the same year Chevelle, which is available from a handful of places as a SoffSeal 5023. SoffSeal doesn't seem to acknowledge that part number though.

The seal on the outer part is a complete mystery. Looks like rubber folded over on itself, held on by two phillips screws. I'm shooting in the dark and hoping Restoration Specialties' YM108W is somewhat similar. It's probably not. But it's hard to tell what this part looked like before 40+ years of drying out.

Anyone been down this road?

If that's what the OP wants, they're available from a lot of vendors. That picture came from the Steele Rubber products site. Here's the link:

I started thinking about the rubber in the vertical chrome piece, between the door and back seat window. But if we're both wandering in left field the OP will have to get us on the right track!

Right ballpark, but definitely left field.

Vertical pieces, rear side of the quarter window. Probably a 70-72 Supreme only

Here's a view of the soffseal 5023. Similar to the inside seal, but 2 clips instead of 3

I can confirm that the Soffseal 5023 can work with modifications. The middle clip is in the wrong place. Only problem is those clips are very fragile and the retaining teeth would rather snap off than straighten out. But, if you work carefully enough, the middle clip can be removed and moved down to the bottom location.
Still looking for the outer seal, probably calling Restoration Specialties monday.

Fusick has it right there in their catalog. OQW702 for the outer seal.
Still on your own for the inner.

Yup going down that road today. That sofseal number fits 70-72 Chevelle and Skylark. So modify I must. This website is a winner! Thank you ALL

I was considering the Soffseal 5023 parts for usage in another GM make/model/year, because they used the same engineering for the rear vertical inner seal. Research with any retailer and Soffseal themselves doesn't produce an overall length of this seal.

Can anyone provide this information (overall length)? You will be greatly aiding me in my search for the Unobtanium for my restoration job.

No retro manufacturers, including Soffseal, make this part for my vehicle, so I'm viewing this as a rejiggering project using another part.

Thank you

11 inches. Sofseal 5023 matched the original in length exactly. I installed using the 2 tabs and have had no problems.

Thank you! My vehicle uses the 15" length, so these won't work. Unfortunately, neither Soffseal and other repro manufacturers don't make them in the length I need.

Your info is helpful, as I won't make a purchase that will be wasted.
