Question 1970 sport mirror removal

What is the easiest way to remove sport mirrors on a 1970 Holiday Coupe? Also, do you have any tricks for getting them back on?

They unbolt from the inside of the door. You will need to unclip the lever from the door panel to get it all the way out.

I would remove the door panel, roll the window glass all the way down, and reach through with a socket on an extension. It's been a few years since I removed a sport mirror but believe there's a hold in the inside door support for the socket. John

I was afraid the angle wouldn't allow use of a socket. Thank you for your help. Cliff
