455 olds boat motor not firing cylinder 4

Out on the boat last weekend when the motor shut off, started it back up and it was not running right. Got it home and cylinder 4 is not firing but is getting fuel. Any thoughts??????

Have you checked for spark? What kind of distributor? Is the wire good? Cap?...

Getting spark, replaced the distributor with a msd and having same problem.

Gonna do a compression check, praying the compression is fine!!!

Compression was 15 on cylinder 4, guess summer is over this year. Motor rebuild here we come.

It may just be a valve spring? Easy to check.
