Looking to make it quasi-original

I have a 69 Delta 88 with a 455.

Does anyone have pictures of the motor...how it's supposed to look, i.e., original colors of the engine and it's components. What colors are what? Also, did that year come stock with the 4 bbl Q-jet? I put one on with an eddelbrock intake, but I hate the air cleaner that I have. It's one of these cheap-o's. The problem I have with the filter housing is that I think the intake manifold's carb base sits a little higher than the original and I have problems with hood clearance. Would a stock air housing work for my 4bbl? And where would I find one? I'd like to make it look somewhat stock. With an original air filter housing, it would be hard to see the eddelbrock raised logo on the intake manifold and the HEI in the back doesn't stand out too bad.

I am just thinking of taking the motor out and doing a complete gasket kit. It only has 87k miles on it, so I don't see any need for a rebuild kit or trip to a machine shop, would seem kinda pointless, wouldn't it? If it ain't broke, don't fix it...but I really would like to dress her up a bit!

And my apologies, I failed to notice the earlier thread on someone doing something similar, but still I'd like to know...and an answer to the air cleaner issue would help too, thanks!!
