After lots of detailing and paint the 455 is finally in her new home today.
With a couple of hours here and there..she should be burning up the streets in a week or 2.
I "kinda" feel guilty I did this to a 36,000 mile virgin , but I think she'll be happy with the x-tra 125 more cubic inches.

I wanted to keep it stock looking, but I don't think the air cleaner is gonna clear the the hood with the Edlebrook manifold...LOL

 

Run one from a Vette. They are totally low profile and may fit.

I think the open element style 442 air cleaner sits lower, I could be wrong.
If I measured correctly the open element style is 1" lower than the closed snorkel style, I have one of each. They're probably hard to come by though.
I overlooked the Edelbrock carb, stock type won't fit 1" lower or not.
