oil filler breather cap

I am having problems with my valve cover breathers making a mess of my engine. Oil is seeping out the top. Just enough to get things messy. My valve covers are the old Mickey Thompson with the square breathers.

I was told to use a oil filler cap with a breather line that goes to the vacuum on the carb.

Has anyoone had this problem and fixed it by using this method?

How's your PCV, what you have is probably some blowby.

No PCV. I don't want to drill a hole in my holley street dominator manifold.

Well then you are not going to solve tis problem. If you seal the breathers so as they do not leak. The pressure in the engine will just find somewhere else to blow out. What about drilling one of your valve covers for a PCV and gommet?

That was also an option but I wanted to try using a oil filler cap with a breather line that goes to a PCV and then to the vacuum on the carb.

Will that work?

Are you talking about through the oil fill tube, or the valve cover?

That with an inline PCV will probably work. Something like this:

You can probably get this at your local parts house.
