Engine Year ID by looks?

I'm trying to find out if this is a 1970, 1971, or 1972 455 motor. By the looks of it can anybody tell? It's f.injected so don't let the cables make you wonder.

Thanks a ton, I suck with identifying big blocks.

Nope.

No way to tell.

Any brackets, etc. from any engine could have been bolted on, and, as you say, this engine has been modified.
You CAN tell the year from the number on the left side of the block, but with a modified engine, even that is not of great significance.

There is a little help on the 455. Looking at the big F on the engine cast # near the oil sending switch, the Font of the F is differant for 70 and earlier, and 71 and later. The 70 and earlier is more of a stick letter, very plain. The 71 and later is I beleive what's called San Serif Font. Fancier font with drop lines on bottom of the F and at the ends of the F. Is the motor with the original heads? That can also be an indication of the year model or at least tighten up the year range for you.
