Need 455 Info

I am looking at purchasing a 455 396021 Fa with Ka Heads. I am told it is out of a boat that was put in new, ran very little and exchanged for a diesel motor. My question is would I have to change any internal parts if I purchase this motor to put in my 1966 Cutlass which now has a 455 with J heads.

No you would not have to change any internal parts. You may however have to change the oil pan to an auto oil pan as many boat pans will not clear tie rods and do not have drains. You may have to use the water pump and pulleys off of you existing 455 because the boar accessorizes are different.

Are you running a standard/manual transmission? if so, the boss for the z bar is not cast into the fa blocks. If you are running automatic, disregard my warning

Some boat motors have 'reverse rotation'!
Did one [Olds 455] back in the mid '70's - cam is obviously different, and I'd imagine the only way to check it is to degree the cam, if you haven't the starter.
