WTF 04b will not accept quadrajets ..?

Can it be modified , the whole point of me buying this intake was to look as close to a w30 look and using the air cleaner .... ? I really do not want to use. A spacer , do I have any options ? Thanks

Did you get the spread-bore or square-bore version? If you got a square-bore, you'll have to use a Holley or AFB unless you get an adapter spacer.

Put a qjet gasket over the holes and see if you can bore out the manifold and still have enough meat to seal the gasket, and that the carb base has meat in the same areas.

Yes, there should be enough metal left. Edelbrock used one casting and varied the final machining to make both Qjet and square bore versions.

I once match ported a Torker with hand-files, as I didn't want to wait!
The secret to working aluminium is to use WD-40 to keep files or anything with 'teeth' from clogging up!
I also have a 'file brush' handy.
