I want put a radiator shroud on a 1970 Olds 442 which did not come factory on this car. Do the bottom tabs that hold the lower part of the shroud get bolted on or are they supposed to be spot welded on? I got tabs from one of the major vendors and it looks like they are supposed to be bolted on. If so, where, or what, do they get bolted onto?

The tabs/brackets which locate the bottom of the shroud are welded to the radiator support. There should be tabs there for the shroud used with a 3-core radiator, which have to be cut down and some material removed to fit the taller brackets for a 4-core radiator shroud. I just switched mine over from my rotted original 4-core support to a replacement 3-core support. I can e-mail or post some pics if you like.
