Felpro 1356 intake gasket

I was wondering if I should use RTV and if so should I put it around all the ports or just the water ports? Thanks in Advance.

Use the RTV, on both sides of the water ports. But use Permatex on the intake ports, both sides. RTV, on the end rails, instead of the rubber gaskets.

I forgot to add that this is a self adhesive gasket. Does that make a deference? Thanks for the help

These don't require RTV on the water ports, but I would put a couple of small dabs on them to keep them from moving on the heads while you set the intake down. But for sure ditch the end seals and just lay down a bead of RTV instead.

I wish Felpro would make gaskets like that for the small block 350.

You rather forgot to mention what type of rtv you are planning to use. ABSOLUTELY NO blue rtv. That crap should be banned from production. On the end use ultra grey or ultra blue. Grey is better but you MUST make sure the surfaces are CLEAN. Then lay down a bead, torque it down and then lay an external bead to seal the corners, front and back. Do this across the entire bead. No way you have a leak after this.
