Smile Fuel induction set up

Well I am at a point where the parts and pieces are coming together for the 455 build destined for the 64 Cutlass 4speed upgrade. Have the O4B manifold and the Quadrajet, wanting to find someone who has made this matchup work. The base gasket that will produce the best seal and any possible clearance problems with the butterflies. I am sure the OLDS brain trust will hold the answers. thank you guys.

The idle mixture screws suggest that Qjet is mid-70s vintage. In any case, the flange on the intake has more than enough area to seal that carb. I like the thick Qjet gaskets with the phenolic spacers at each bolt hole. Note that you'll need to remove those screws in the four inboard carb holes to mount this carb.

Joe P., Thanks for the input. I was hoping to have someone that has used this setup highlight any cautionary facts to make this a problem-free install. Thank you.
