without pulling the motor..I was up looking at the bottom end of my motor cleaning it..And it looks like its prob not leakin but cant tell until I start the motor up again...I got everything looking real degreased and clean...It looks like there is room to remove the pan....

Cool Extrication

The front throws on the crank should be upwards (sideways?) to give you more clearance to remove the pan without binding... its in the chassis manual..

Iam thinkin about pulling the motor and just rebuilding the lower end since i am having the top end done now...There is so much oil all over the bottom of the engine so i beleive i am just going to pull it..That way I can redue the engine compartment,,,clean it up real nice....I love winter projects..

That will make the job easier in the long run and you'll know what the engine is. Plus it's a great excuse to buy a pressure washer if you don't already own one

You can rent an engine hoist at most rental yards. They have both knock-down and tow-behind versions. You can also rent the engine stand, but you can usually find used ones fairly inexpensively.
