Oil on Intake Manifold

Hey guys,

I had the rear main seal on my 455 replaced this summer. That addressed a slow leak that I had been having. But now the leak is back...though I'm not sure it's from the same place. I have a suspicion oil might be leaking down from somewhere else.
When doing a quick visual of the motor I noticed this little bit of oil.

Anybody know what the cause of this would be?

It may be wicking up the threads of the bolt. Pull the bolt and put some thread sealer on it and reinstall.

Check the air cleaner to see if there is a drain hole above where you see the oil.

Thanks for the replies. I'll check for both possibilities tomorrow.

When I ran cast iron heads I remember having the same issue. My guess is oil seeping around the bolts (as someone previously mentioned). Retorque the bolts, put some Teflon paste on the bolts threads in the center of the manifold.
