‘65 J88 engine question(s)

( newbie here )Currently have a 330(just bought, so don’t know if it even runs )

-how to do a full swap of motor and transmission?

- can a center shifter be put in place of the column shifter ?

Any 1964-1990 Olds V8 bolts in. If you plan to use a big block, you will need the specific exhaust manifolds that clear the steering box and linkage. They are reproduced.

What about moving to floor shifter from steering column?

You can do that with a aftermarket floor shifter. You probably would be better off assessing what you have first. Then after figuring out what you need to get running,stopping and driving safely then think about modifications.

The 1965 B-body cars were available with a floor shifter, so that is certainly an option. Unless you plan to convert to bucket seats, you're going to have trouble fitting a floor shifter in there.
