12 volts for a MSD

I have a MSD Digital 6 for my 72 Cutlass. Where do I get the wire for the 12 volts for the ignition? I believe the wire that goes to the coil is a resistor wire and would only feed approx. 9 volts to the coil so I don't think that's going to be the source.Anyone else use one of these?

Replace the resistor wire with a 12 guage wire or run a new 12 guage wire from the run side of your ignition switch use a test light to determine which source to use

Thank you sir. I didn't want to cheap out and run the ignition from the fusebox.
