So I had the original cam button and spring from the 455 I have been rebuilding, I just had it in my hands....well dropped it on garage floor and now I cant find it anywhere GRRRRRRRR
Suggestions on where to source a new one? I didn’t really see a listing at Summit, OPGI, Speedway, etc.
I don't remember there being a spring, where was it located? Should be the fuel pump cam, and the bolt, that holds it on and the end of bolt pushes agents the timing cover.
Well I had a bag of parts given to me and the PO told me it was the cam button that went over top of the cam bolt.
this is the new bolt I sourced....saying I don’t need the button and this will have proper room to press against the timing cover ?
Yes I failed to mention that - thanks Mark (not my day today)...I just tore up the garage again and I can’t find it.
ill ping u off line for where to source new
The factory roller motors used a spring and a piece of flat plastic that snapped on to the spring to press against the front cover. The spring would then go on to the cam bolt. That must be what he's talking about.
