help asap--paint question

Should the bellhouse be painted copper on a '68 400 or stay the bare aluminum color?

i never seen them paint the bell housing. i would'nt paint it

Not 100% but have never seen that was not natural. At least not an aluminum one. I would think bare.

I agree with the others, the factory didn't paint them.

Question Foggy

I seem to recall that my bellhousing had factory paint on it...but I don't know which plant my engine originated from!!Oshawa built car ...an Olds engine has the crank bored for manual trans we all know, so the engine would be assembled with the flywheel, clutch and bell housing attached,no? therefore we should expect paint on it??
