Centering yoke ball. Need help ASAP, Please!

Good morning guys, I have a '75 Oldsmobile Delta 88. When I bought the car the Cardan Joint was broken. I replaced that and 1 u-joint, well now whenever I drive the car I hear a rapid clicking/popping noise coming from underneath. I originally thought it was the drive shaft binding in the rear from the angle because the car has adjustable air ride suspension so I added adjustable uppers and now when I'm at cruising height the drive shaft is nearly straight. So i want to replace anything I can while the drive shaft is out, however I do not know how to get the replacable ball, that slides into the center yoke, off.

The big Oldsmobile book has a specific tool listed. I'm hoping someone has ran into this problem before and has a easier remedy for me. Thank-you for reading!

You should be able to get a reman driveshaft that has a greasable CV joint. My 73 88 convert did that same mess and it was WAAAAAY quicker and cheaper to replace the whole driveshaft than to tear it down and replace that plastic ball.

Even after the replacement, that ball had to be lubed at every oil change or it would squeak like a damned little mouse. You'll have to have a special grease needle to inject grease into the thing.

The driveshaft CV ball joint was NOT one of GM's better ideas. Between it and the scissor top, I don't think I want another early-70s big GM convertible.
