what should be a good compression
on a newly rebuilt 455,,It was built back stock,,,what should the compression be when using a compression tester..i am having issues and beleive i have some problems,,,
iam only getting around 120psi on each cylinder,,,what could be causing this,,u think the guy didnt alighn the timing marks on the crank and cam correctly

Could be something as simple as the cam in wrong, as in too advanced or retarded!
You said 'stock', but if an aftermarket cam was used, with higher duration, the cranking compression will be down, but 'static' compression will be higher over 2000 RPM.
Who installed the cam??
