What motor is this??

What motor is this??

If any one can tell by pics, any help would be superb. I was told by this owner i can pick this motor, tranny, and anything else i needed for $200 bucks. If its worth it im calling in tomorrow.......

The distributor in the front makes me think Buick. Thats the only 1960's through late 1970's GM engine I've seen with it located there. But other than that we need some numbers or more closeups to help identify it. I'm just a packrat, so if the price was right I'd pull as much as I could before it goes to the scrap yard John

You might want to look at a Caddy motor sometime...

While Caddy motors also have a front distributor, the Caddy distributor is straight up and down. The Buick is at an angle, like this one.

Of course, since the motor appears to currently be installed in a vehicle, it might help to tell us what that vehicle is...
