What compression ration is my pistons?

The engine code off of the oil filler is worn. I have a big "C" near the #1 cylinder though. Is that the "UC" engine code where I can look up in Chiltons. That is what I believed to be true, just want to be sure. In Chilton, for 1968 "UC" it is 9.0 to 1.

If it's a 2barrel, the pistons are most likely 30cc dish which ends up around 9:1 compression.

If your heads are removed The C code by your number 1 cylinder is the bore code. If the cylinder heads are still on, you most likely have small valved C type heads.
