Well, yeah, I screwed up!

Ordered and received new pistons and rings to rebuild my "E" block.
Thought I ordered standard bore 350 pistons. Received .030" oversize.
Mistake was mine.
Hate to pay shipping both ways to get the standard pistons.
Originally planned to bore .057" to accommodate the standard 350 pistons.
Rather than pay shipping back and forth,
I'm considering just boring .087" and using the .030" pistons.
Is this pushing the bore too far?

I have read on this site that there is probably enough meat to bore that big. However you probably should have a sonic check of the cylinders. But using these pistons will leave less meat for future bores, I think i would exchange them if it were me. Assuming .057 would clean up the cylinders.

I considered that. That's why I just wanted to go the .057".
Hate to take more meat out of the cylinder than needed.
I ordered the Speed Pro flat top pistons and rings package for a good deal off
ebay.
Since the mistake was mine, I'm sure I'll have to pay shipping both ways.
That will pretty much eat up the discount I got and then some.
But, I guess that's probably the best way to go.
Plus, if I go the .087", the cost of the sonic test will
probably cost as much as the shipping.
Thanks for the input, Steve.

If I were in your shoes, I'd send them back.

Stick to your original plan.

Already did.
Forgot shipping to me was free, so all I pay is sending the .030" pistons back.
Also, saved the cost of the sonic test, so I went ahead and ordered the standard pistons
and will return the .030" ones.
That also leaves a little extra "meat" in the cylinders for possible future boring if needed.
