I MAY HAVE SCREWED UP!

Have a 69 442 hardtop coupe. Basic standard, replaced radio with Delco am/fm, added a 70 8-track player from e-bay(700.00 plus dollars). was a 8-track player even an option in 69?
Thanks Eddie

Yes, the 8-track was an option in '69 as well. You might see a little difference in the wood grain trim from your '69 dash to the '70 face of the 8-track but, beyond that, the 8-track units are essentially the same.

Try H & H for the replacement woodgrain. They advertise in various publications and I see them at shows--they were in Lansing last year for the homecoming for instance. I am not sure they have the 8-track piece, but worth a shot.

Could you be more specific on H & H? I am looking for the best place to get replacement dash woodgrain kits. Never heard of H & H. I ordered the dash set from Fusick and they had a defect in the lower dash piece that includes the radio and goes over the steering wheel. I sent it back noting the missing section of woodgrain that goes over the steering wheel. Right in the center there was about a 1/4 inch section with no woodgrain, just the metal backing where it became separated. They were going to replace it but they found that all of them had the same defect so I was refunded my money.

thanks,

chuck

Go to 442.com, click on "classified ads", and then click on parts for sale. H&H should be about the 5th ad down. It appears they have the 8-track wood grain cover, along with all the other wood grain sets.
