Water outlet question

I'm not running a heater core. Do you just cap the water pump outlet and the intake inlet thats in the passenger side rear of the intake? I see some run lines from the back of the engine to the thermostat housing

Yes. Just cap the water pump and intake using pipe plugs. The rubber caps that are sold may not last long. Some will say that running a hose from the water pump to the rear of the intake will give better circulation and cooling. I have not noticed a difference either way.

Just to confirm that there is no need to run a hose from front to back, factory heater-delete cars did not use a hose. The ports were simply plugged.
