Valley pan question

Just like everyone said, the rubber seal squished out, so I have to redo it. Good idea to try and reuse the pan or is it shot after it gets torqued down?

The pan is a compression gasket.
Once it's used, it's done. I have done the
same thing though.

I've long suspected that most of the problems that people seem to have with the metal intake gasket come from trying to reuse it. The beads around each port are designed to crush to achieve the seal. The gasket cannot be reused reliably.

Figured so just by looking at it out of the box, oh well, already ordered a new one and some other stuff...guess I'll go without the end seals

What I have done in the past to get away from those
pesky end seals, I drilled 3 small holes at each end of the block
where the seals fit, two just off the ends, and one in the middle,
and used silicon. I set the manifold down, just started the bolts,
and walked away for an hour or so. Came back tourqed them down.
Retourqed about a week later. All was good.
Not saying this is the way to go, but it worked for me.
