"stud" head bolt placement?
"stud" head bolt placement?
looking at what I think are the head bolts that came with my 425 I see that there are 3 or 4 head bolts that have studs on the top.
Please keep in mind that this motor was apart when I got it and the parts were poorly sorted, mostly just thrown in the trunk.
Are these odd stud type bolts head bolts? If so, which holes do they belong in?
Seems like they should be for the alternator or air conditioning brackets?
Thanks,
David

I figured out a few of them from the assembly manual, A/C bracket on passenger side, and power steering pump on the driver's side.
I'm going to bring the brackets to the machine shop to see if we can determine where the 4th one goes..
Thanks!

I've got two 1966 Toro engines and they both have two stud bolts on the passengerside for the AC compressor and one on the drivers side. Then looking at a 1967 Toro engine it has two on the drivers side but the second one doesn't have anything attached to it. So if you can't find a place for the fourth bolt it might not have had anything attached to it.
